NaNo Day 3: Just Keep Swimming

Sorry today’s post is coming to you so late! Tuesdays are my longest day of the week, with classes, work, and meetings back to back from around 9:30 AM until 9:30 PM.

With that in mind, I haven’t scheduled any NaNo writing for today (or, you know, any Tuesday for the rest of the month). I don’t have any homework left to do tonight though, so I might sneak in a little writing after this post. (Or, based on the fact that I fell asleep during the screening for one of my film classes tonight, it might be good just to go to bed?) (Eh. Who needs responsibility.)

Yesterday I didn’t manage to finish my homework until around 11:00 PM, so I only got about 1,300 words written before I conked out. A lot of those words showed up on the page while I was half asleep so, like, fingers crossed they’re at least in English? I’m afraid to look.

Anyway, what all this means is that I’m currently still just under three thousand words behind where I wanted to be at this point. It’s only Day 3, so I’m choosing to be optimistic. There’s still a lot of November to go. But in the meantime, I’m going to just hang in here and try to get to a point when I’ll have the time (and energy) to catch up.

Anyone else at a similar place? I have a feeling this is a good time for us to take a very smart person fish’s advice.

Goal for Today: 0 + 3,000 (from Sunday)

Overall Goal: 6,000.

Current Word Count: 3,359
